Educators and Students:
Top European design fairs want YOU!

A major German design fair organizer wants to link North American students with European students for visits to fantastic international exhibitions.

The first opportunity is this May. We need your input to make this happen!

How would you like to connect your students with their counterparts in Europe, and bring them to Germany's top design and materials fairs in Germany?

Koelnmesse in Cologne Germany organizes and hosts three major global design fairs: Orgatec (commercial furnishings), Interzum (furniture and architectural materials) and IMM (residential furniture and kitchens).

These fairs have a long history of partnering with European design schools and promoting student designs and concepts. Fair organizers have approached Material Intelligence to work through educators to extend a special invitation to students and faculty in North America.

Material Intelligence is looking for a few interested educators to help brainstorm how a successful "sister university" relationship might developed, where European design schools offer travel assistance, lodging and friendship at the fairs and around the city.

With the commitment of a handful of educators and the influence of the Koelnmesse fairs, I believe we'll be able to find industry sponsors interested in nurturing this kind of cultural and inspirational exchange for future generations of design leaders.

The goal is to cover up to 100% of the travel expenses with supplier sponsorships, and to help students form life-long relationships with the next generation of international designers.

Please drop us a note if you're interested in participating, and share this with colleagues!

Are you a supplier to the design industry? Do you attend or exhibit at any of the Koelnmesse fairs?

Consider cementing your leadership by helping sponsor these exchanges!
