Anne Marie Commandeur is the owner and director of Stijlinstituut Amsterdam. She started her first agency for trend analysis under the name ‘Studio Commandeur’. With time its specific way of working, with a team of specialists, developed and this lead, in 2004, to a new name, ‘Stijlinstituut Amsterdam’.


SICAM 2022

This year’s SICAM offered a masterclass in getting “in touch” with designers and the furniture market.  

Exhibitors from dozens of countries were on hand to show manufacturers and designers what’s next in residential cabinetry design and functionality.


Milan Design Week 2022

Milan Design Week is a never-ending mind party, for designers, design enthusiasts, and anyone that loves creators and their creations. The sensory overload of energy and inspiration is nothing short of addictive, whether you’re at the Salone Del Mobile fair, held just outside of the city, or wandering Fuorisalone, the official name for the several Design Districts that pop up throughout Milan…more casually known simply as Design Week.


SICAM 2021

The mood could safely be described as giddy at this year’s 12th edition of SICAM, the International Exhibition of Semi-finished Components and Accessories for the Furniture Industry. This trade fair, held every fall in Pordenone, Italy, focuses on materials, components, and hardware for the furniture industry. Organizers reported visitors from over 90 countries and 7,200 companies, all with proof of vaccination and a recent negative COVID test.


Heimtextil 2020/21

The first major international trend fair every year, with a focus on sustainable solutions for fashion and interiors. This year’s theme, “Where I Belong,” addressed layered identities via five diverse 20/21 trends.


Milan Design Week 2019

The coolest week of the year for furniture, interior design, and overindulgence in carbohydrates and Prosecco… where German-born designer and furniture builder Markus Benesch Discovers a Long-Forgotten Laboratory in the Heart of Milan.


Heimtextil 2019
